mcladder Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-07-15. By playing mcladder ranked matches you agree to these rules.
1. Fair play
- Cheat clients, macros, auto-clickers, X-Ray (including texture packs), freecam and any modification giving an unfair advantage are prohibited.
- Performance mods (Sodium and similar) and cosmetic mods that do not affect gameplay are allowed.
- Matches are recorded (replays, event timeline) and reviewed by anti-cheat and human moderators.
- Shaders are force-disabled during matches as part of the fair environment — do not bypass this.
2. Accounts
- Play on your own licensed Minecraft account. Cracked clients are not supported.
- Account sharing, rating boosting and playing on someone's behalf are prohibited.
- Using alternate accounts to evade bans or timeouts is prohibited — it is detected and punished across all linked accounts.
3. Match conduct
- Match fixing, win-trading, queue sniping and any collusion that distorts ratings are prohibited.
- Leaving a match early results in escalating matchmaking timeouts; the match counts as a loss.
- Stream-sniping is prohibited.
4. Exploits & bugs
- Abusing game, seed or mcladder infrastructure bugs for advantage is prohibited.
- Found a bug? Report it in our Discord — significant findings earn recognition and badges.
5. Communication
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, spam and advertising are prohibited in match chat and nicknames.
6. Enforcement & appeals
Depending on severity: match/rating voiding, matchmaking timeouts, temporary or permanent bans. Automated anti-cheat flags are always reviewed by a human. To appeal a decision, contact us in our Discord community (link on the home page).
7. Changes
We may update these guidelines; significant changes are announced in Discord and on the next mod launch.
8. Match scope and independent play
- A ranked match starts when an opponent is assigned and the queue can no longer be cancelled. The countdown, world preparation and the entire playable session are part of the match. It ends when the service records a result or a moderator voids it.
- Coaching, backseating or receiving match-relevant help from a call, screen share, stream chat or any other third party is prohibited. In Duo, communication between the two registered teammates is allowed.
- Do not watch an opponent's stream or obtain private live information about an ongoing match. A person who gathers or relays such information and the player who knowingly benefits may both be sanctioned.
9. Client, mods and inputs
- Use the current official mcladder build. Modified, unofficial or outdated builds, tampering with the mod, replay or anti-cheat, and bypassing integrity or shader restrictions are prohibited.
- Performance, accessibility and cosmetic mods are allowed only when they do not change game logic, expose hidden information, automate decisions or actions, or interfere with mcladder. If a mod's effect is unclear, ask staff before playing ranked.
- Vanilla key bindings configured inside Minecraft are allowed. External macros, auto-clickers, repeat/turbo functions and hardware or software that turns one physical input into multiple timed gameplay actions are not.
10. External tools, files and world seed
- During a match, do not read or process the world save, statistics, advancements, logs, process memory, network traffic, challenge state or screen to obtain information or automate play.
- Do not learn, reconstruct, share or enter the world seed into any tool. Seed-finding, structure-location and live calculators that use information from the current match are prohibited.
- Static wikis and references about general Minecraft mechanics are allowed only if they do not consume live match data, reveal the seed or provide automated decisions.
11. Glitches and technical failures
- Unintended glitches are prohibited unless mcladder explicitly marks them as allowed. This includes X-Ray by clipping or reload abuse, duplication, ghost-block abuse, seed extraction and intentional lag or pause abuse.
- Restarting or leaving is allowed only when practically necessary because the game has frozen or crashed. Follow the mod's recovery instructions and report the match ID and log; deliberately causing a failure is a leave.
- A technical problem does not automatically void a match. Staff may uphold, restore or void the result based on replay, telemetry and the effect on both sides.
12. Evidence, enforcement and appeals
- Sanctions consider intent, advantage, impact and repeated behaviour. They can also apply to helpers and linked accounts involved in the violation.
- Anti-cheat flags are evidence, not an automatic verdict, and are reviewed by a human before a cheating ban.
- An appeal should identify the match and decision, explain the disagreement and include available evidence. Do not alter or delete relevant logs or recordings while a review is pending.
